About us "The Breeders"

We are just a normal family with 7 children who love animals.  We had a farm in South Carolina where we as parents were both University professors and we all raised Labs, Netherland dwarf bunnies and miniature horses. We showed our breeds and won over and over  in state fairs and local competitions.

When we left to come to teach at BYU, we researched dog animal breeds to fit the cold of Utah and the smaller space we would be living.  The Sheltie breed was the winner given the aclamation to the cold (they come from the freezing shetland islands of Scotland), their protective nature (of other animals and children--that's what they are bred to do) and their shear brilliance.  We have been sold ever since and aren't turning back.

These Miniature Lassie dogs are the best addition a family could ever add.  We found they make a great transition for de-throned children when a new baby is born as well.   Something for the older children to love, be loved by and help take care of!
